I'm back! I know I have been on hiatus quite often and for long periods of time, considering whenever I come to this computer, I lose my ability to turn my anger into logical and stinging rants. Anyways, over the course of the last couple weeks, I have been bombarded with girls weeping their eyes out for days, friends calling me at all hours of the night, and senseless fights and arguements because he or she broke up/cheated/dated him or her. First, to the tearful, shut up. I dunno where and why you get the idea that high school is a land of kittens and rainbows where love is so thick in the air I have to buy windshield wiper glasses to open my locker, but you seriously need to get over it. Imagine your high school life like a World War II minefield. Sure, things start out all nice and dandy, but don't be surprised when you trip over yourself and get blown back to "start". Get this straight, high school isn't a place for love. If you get a high school sweetheart and marry, then go right ahead! But ever since this whole political correctness thing, kids are much more inclined to do stupid things because our political leaders like to skip around issues like a bunch of three year olds playing hopscotch! Dr. Phil says we should pass out condoms in public areas. I say otherwise. I don't know why, all of a sudden, teenagers are put through the ringer for being "sexual deviants", but we spent so much time talking about sex and why its bad that kids get curious! You ever wonder why your kid touches the stove burner even after you told him it would hurt and he shouldn't do that? Because he wants to know WHY you said so! Passing out condoms to people is pratically ordering the kid to try sex. "Don't worry about it kid, with this, it is completely safe! Try it and see!" Ladies, high school relationships revolve around that. At this age, with hormones and curiosity, we just want in your pants! It's not love! Once that guy gets what he wants, then don't be surprised if he leaves you because he is satisfied. All too often I hear tales of high school pregnancies and high school marriages ending. You know why? Because we are stupid. You people in power need to learn that talking about teen pregnancy and not doing each other is going to make us curious! It is because we are flawed! Pay attention to something that matters, like finally making America energy-independant and fixing the political system than violence in video games, teen sex, and gangs. |
